Ezra Jones
Twenty nine year old Ezra Jones grew up in Leeds, England. At fourteen years old his family moved to Portland, OR. He is very quiet and shy around those he doesn't know well, but those who make it to his inner circle are able to get to know the real Ezra. He attended medical school as well as specialized training to become a rheumatologist. He has a son, Jaxon, who was born in 2016 and is his entire world.

Ezra is a complicated human. He tries his hardest to be independent and be a leader figure, but due to his shyness and desire to avoid conflict it makes it hard for him to do so. This is especially true when it comes to his parents who he is eager to try to please, despite the fact that he has to hide a huge part of himself from them. At work he has begun to come out of his shell more which has helped him in this area as he strives to be the best doctor he can be. He wants to be a leader at work, someone knowledgable that people will look up to as he becomes more experienced in his field. Ezra has a very caring personality and is very much a caregiver. This began when he was young, always trying to be the best big brother he could for Kyleigh. His father worked a lot so he tried to help fill in that space when he was at work to help care for her. Now as a father he fits the role even more so as he strives to be the best father he can for his son.
biography
On Dec 18th Blaine and Hadley were given an early Christmas gift when they gave birth to Ezra Oliver Jones.The two were high school sweethearts. They started dating at 16 years old and were a picture perfect couple through high school and college. Soon after graduating from college, the two got married and began their family with Ezra being their first born. On April 18, 1998 they gave birth to their second child, a daughter, Kyleigh.
Ezra's childhood was relatively happy. His parents were very traditional and strict but also loving. He always had a curfew of when he needed to be home, had chores he had to do each day, wasn't allowed to spend time with friends or talk on the phone until homework was done. It could be frustrating at times, but other times he didn't mind it. He enjoyed school and learning so the disipline helped him out as he got older to keep his grades up.
At 14 years old Ezra and his family moved to Portland, OR after his father got an amazing job offer that he couldn't pass up. It was hard at first being uprooted from the home he grew up in, his friends, his country, and everything he knew and trade it in for a very different life. He found it hard to fit in at first, some kids made fun of his accent or the way he talked, telling him to learn English better. Obviously they were the ones mistaken since he was actually English and spoke it correctly, they were the ones speaking Americanized English. Eventually though he made friends and he learned to not mind living in America. In high school he joined the soccer team and finally he felt he fit in more than he had ever before.
After graduating high school, Ezra knew he needed to go to college. It was something his parents had expected of him and put a lot of pressure on him to do from the time he was a child. They always made sure it was a point that in order to be successful you have to go to college. After a lot of thinking about what he wanted to do as well as what would be a respectable career in his parents' eyes he attended medical school and earned a degree. During this time his sister was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder which lead him to the decision that he wanted to become a rheumatologist. He completed a residency program for a year followed by specialized rheumatology training which he completed in the srping of 2019. Finally in August 2019 he began working full time as a rheumatologist at a local clinic.
love life
During his early high school years Ezra began to become curious about his sexuality. He began to realize he was attracted to both men and women and began to experiment a bit as he struggled to understand what he was feeling. He found the whole thing complicated because of his parents strict beliefs. He knew this was something they wouldn't understand or agree with so he had to keep it private. He had to be careful about who he experimented with and who knew about his feelings, having to make sure the information would never make it back to his parents. He made it a rule that he would never experiment with people from his own school. Instead, he waited until his soccer team had away games and would experiment with boys from the other teams. Only two friends and his younger sister knew the truth about his feelings.
As a senior in high school, Ezra became friends, and quickly more than friends, with a boy named Owen. They were together for about 5 years, all while hiding behind the curtains of being best friends. Ezra knew he couldn't tell his parents about the relationship, they would immediately disown him and never speak to him again, he was sure of it. Instead he just insisted that he was too busy with studying for medical school to bother with a relationship. This pleased his parents and they didn't bother asking many questions.
Unfortunately early 2015 the two boys broke up causing Ezra to struggle with his love life. He was heartbroken and didn't really want a serious relationship after that. His parents were also now suspecious of his sexuality due to an accidental comment his sister had made in front of them so he felt the need to find a girlfriend. Not only that, but the idea of dating another man after the hard break up was just not appealing at all to him.
A couple months later he began dating Alexis. It wasn't long after they got together that she found out she was pregnant. This rocked Ezra's world, it was the last thing he had expected to happen. He was just starting his rheumatology training so becoming a parent on top of that was a lot to take on. Not to mention he was terrified of telling his parents. They didn't take the news lightly to say the least, but with some time they learned to accept it and welcome their grandchild Jaxon with open arms when he was born on February 16, 2016. Their relationship was rocky and very on/off over the next few years. Despite still having issues in the relationship, in 2018 Ezra proposed to Alexis. He has since avoided actually planning the wedding almost entirely, using every possible excuse he can. Between fighting pretty regularly as well as Ezra clearly avoiding planning the wedding the two decided to take some time apart. They are still together but are now living separately hoping the space will help them in sorting out their issues.
